Meet the founder

Founder, Living Las Canteras Homes

"Nice to meet you. This is the brief story of how Living Las Canteras Homes was born."

I was born in 1980 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and grew up beside the beautiful Playa Las Canteras. The sea and the beach have always been constants in my life — with a particular passion for surfing and freediving underwater filming.

From a young age, I helped my family manage a building of holiday apartments right on the Las Canteras beachfront — my grandparents' family home until 1974, when, like many other owners, they converted it into holiday accommodations.

I studied at a German school in Gran Canaria and later earned a degree in Audiovisual Communication in Madrid. For the next eight years, I worked in various countries and in four different languages.

When I returned to Gran Canaria in 2009, I continued helping relatives with their holiday apartments. Soon, neighbours and acquaintances started asking for my help managing their second homes in Las Canteras — and Living Las Canteras Homes was born in 2010.

Since 2015, I have dedicated myself exclusively to this project. I'm passionate about hospitality and actively participate in forums and training groups for property managers, attending national and international industry conferences each year to keep learning and improving.

Usually 7–30% cheaper than platforms, with our best price guarantee and free extras on request (cot, monitor, yoga mat). More flexibility if your plans change.

Self check-in at every property — electronic lock on arrival, then physical keys (two sets). Check-in from 3 pm, check-out by 11 am. Early or late times are free when the schedule allows.

Beach kit, fast Wi-Fi, workspace with monitor, yoga mat, washing machine, and starter kitchen and bathroom essentials. Fresh linens and towels on arrival.

Cancel 16+ days before arrival for a full refund minus payment fees. Within 15 days, non-refundable — except force majeure (illness, cancelled flight), when your payment moves to a new stay within 12 months.

€100 per website booking, paid during post-booking registration. Automatically refunded 7 days after checkout if there is no significant damage.

All units include fast Wi-Fi, a dedicated desk in most properties, and an external monitor. Las Canteras also has coworking spaces and year-round mild weather.

Babies up to 2 years stay free — declare them when booking. Cot and high chair available free on request. At least one guest must be 21+, and max occupancy follows the tourist licence.

After booking and completing the 5-step registration, we email the exact address, directions, and self check-in instructions. A direct mobile number is provided for urgent matters.
